Visit Britain

In between the two main lockdowns of 2020, I was asked to participate in the latest campaign by Visit Britain called #EscapeTheEveryday. The idea behind the campaign was to promote locals from exploring the countries within the UK that were so close to home, but offered so much in terms of the outdoors, different cultures and fascinating places to escape to. As a result, I spent 4 days in Northern Ireland, whilst others on the campaign travelled to neighbouring British countries for the weekend. From the Causeway Coastal Route to hiking in the Mourne Mountains, kayaking on Strangford Lough to enjoying the sunset in Portstewart, I really made the most of my time abroad and thoroughly enjoyed seeing a new area of a country I’ve previously visited. Thankfully the weather was on my side and I felt very fortunate to be able to get outside and explore during this difficult year.
